Commercial
Commercial dance is a broad term that encompasses a variety of styles that are often used in popular music videos, television shows, movies and stage productions.
Commercial is a versatile and exciting genre of dance that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and skill levels.
It is a great way to improve your retention of material and excel in your performance qualities.
Classes available are:
Foundation & Junior Class: Aged 3-10 years old |
Senior Class: Aged 11-14 years old |
Senior +: Aged 15+ years old |

Street Dance
Universal Dance are one of the few UK companies that hold an authentic, certified Street Dance Teaching Qualification.
Classes follow authentic Street Dance training. Each half term focuses on a new style including, Hip Hop, Breaking, House, Locking, Popping, Waacking and Krumping.
Students will be encouraged to embrace the Hip Hop culture of individuality, positivity, socialisation and unity.
Students are also given ample opportunities to attend workshops led by some of the most influential and professional street dance artists in the industry.
Home to an annual Street Dance Camp; Eat, Street, Sleep, Repeat.
For those who are interested, there are opportunities to audition for our Competitive Street Dance Crews; Sketch, Scribble and Graffiti.
Classes available are:

RAD Ballet
Classes follow the Royal Academy of Dance Ballet syllabus and are led by a fully qualified and experienced teacher. Students are also encouraged to explore their own creativity as well as learning each graded syllabus in preparations for annual examinations.
*Students are regularly assessed on their ability levels to ensure that they train at the appropriate level for their development and safety.

Beginners Ballet: Aged 3-6 years old |
Grade 1: Aged 7+ years old |
Grade 2: Aged 9+ years old |
Grade 3: Aged 11+ years old |

Contemporary
With contemporary dance studied as part of the school curriculums, attending regular technique classes will aid the development of physical skills, choreography and performance in this art form.
Junior classes prepare students for tuition provided at secondary school whilst Senior/+ classes are excellent in assisting with GCSE and A’Level dance grades. Classes include Graham, Cunningham and Release techniques, floor and travelling exercises as well as time to explore your own choreographic ideas with others.
Grades 1-6 examinations with the NATD are also on offer to our contemporary dance students.

Acrodance
The beautiful fusion of classical dance techniques and the athleticism of acrobatic elements, commonly seen in performances by Cirque Du Soleil and mainstream TV shows such as ‘So You Think You Can Dance’.
In line with the Acrobatic Arts syllabus and led by a qualified instructor, students develop their strength, flexibility, balance, tumbling skills and cardio fitness.
